How do I cancel an LPA?
Sometimes, you may wish to cancel an LPA if your circumstances change, for instance, if you wish to make a new one naming different people as your attorneys. You must have mental capacity to make this decision.
To cancel your LPAs, you will need to send your original LPAs to the Office of the Public Guardian, with a statement called a Deed of Revocation. For a template on how the Deed of Revocation should be worded, and details of where to send the documents to, visit: End your Lasting Power of Attorney
